TERM 1 WEEK 3 LEARNING LOG
this week mr tyrus chua told us the story about the merchant of venice,it was so funny because the teacher drew the story out .The main character are Antonio,Portia,Shylock and Bassanio.i m shorting the story which mr tyrus chua told us.the story goes like this:
Bassanio and Portia is a couple who love each other. Bassanio wishes to win her love but he is too poor to do so. So he seek help from his best friend called Antonio. Bassanio asked Antonio if he could lend him about 3000 ducats so that he could impressed Portia. Antonio who had an overseas business and waited to recieve his money bck, borrowed from a Jewish moneylander called Shylock. Shylock ageed to lend him money but to one condition. Antonio must pay back the money on the exact dae promised. But if he couldn`t manage to pay it on that day, Shylock will take one pound of Antonio`s flesh as payment. For the sake of his best friend, Antonio agreed. Bassanio and Portia married soon after.
Unfortunately, a bad news arrives. Antonio`s ship sank to the bottom of the sea,thus, he could`t get his money back and could`t return the money which he borrowed frm Shylock.
Shylock goes before the court of Venice to get his pound of flesh. Hearing that, Bassanio`s wife, Portia worked out a plan. She disguised herself as a male lawyer. The story thus continues.
later teacher brought us out of the class to other place which have a big space and all of us sat there.teacher called out people to act.

pei qi became the duke because duke means justice.actually my blogskin wasn't this but i change it because my friend reneita say i am very childish because my blog was in cartoon but i like it so i change it it was still a carton but at least it is nicer.i dont really understand the story sia!!! i understand the first part but the part where it comes to a dialouge i dont really understand because it is too complecated!! it was coming to the end of the lesson! dont be too happy!?....because we have a homework of course! it is to write one of the main character traits(attitude)which the teachers will chose .my character was antonio.so remember to do it i will show u an example
